“When I woke up today my video with the damn goat had 100,000 views, which is like more than all our other game trailers the last year combined.” said Armin Ibrisagic, who is lead PR manager at Coffee Stain Studios, and the mind behind the idea for the simulator. Coffee Stain Studios, regardless of Goat Simulator definitely being their breakout game, is responsible for three other games; Sanctum, Super Sanctum TD and Sanctum 2. I may have not heard of these games, but I’m sure some have, or else they wouldn’t have had the funds to create this game.

The game features a “lick feature” which allows you to stick anything to the goat’s tongue and swing it around as a weapon. This feature comes with their physics engine, which they have spent the most amount of money on. The graphics are fairly decent, but the full system requirements have not been released yet.

Goat Simulator is up for pre orders right now, at $9.99, and will be released sometime during spring 2014. The game has been getting much attention due to their trailer, and many people are excited for it, myself included. No matter how ridiculous the concept is, it’s what the game market needs now; shameless and stupid fun for anyone who plays it. Goat Simulator seems like a refreshing game, and only time will tell if it lives up.

Goats have been an internet sensation for about a year or so, now. Countless videos of goats “screaming” can be found all over YouTube in seconds. With this craze, it seems, developers over at Coffee Stain Studios have come up with a new game called “Goat Simulator”. Alpha footage was released to YouTube on February 3rd and has since gained over 2 million plus views in the short time it has been out. The developers were extremely surprised that people took the game footage seriously.
