Shaun White Appeal

There is no question that Shaun White is one of the biggest faces in snowboarding and is also the one to beat in this years’ Olympics, scoring a 95.25 in the first-round of the half pipe. No matter where he goes he seems to be the crowd favourite, and the one to see. With this incredible talent, unique style, and laid back personality, there is not much question why. Even four-time Spring Cup champion Jeff Gordon once said he wishes he was Shaun White, because of his talents and accomplishments. Shaun has won 15 X-Games gold medals and is a two time Olympic gold medalist, but his talents do not stop on the snowboard. Shaun has also won gold medals in the X-Games on the skateboard. Adding on to that Shaun surfboards and wakeboards. It seems to be that anything involving a board Shaun has a talent with.

To go along with his smooth style on the snow, Shaun has released his own line of clothing with Target. Shaun and his brother, Jesse White, are the designers of all their clothing. One of the greatest things about the line that everyone can enjoy is the prices. From nine dollar shoes to twenty-five dollar sweaters. His line is accessible for everyone.

Shaun’s face is no stranger to the television; appearing in dozens of snowboarding and skateboarding competitions, like the Olympics, X-Games, Dew Tour, and more, but you can also find him in his movie “Don’t Look Down” released in 2009. The movie takes you through his life and what it is like to be a professional competing snowboarder, while getting a better look at Shaun White behind the snowboard.

It is going to be interesting to see what Shaun pulls out for this years’ Olympics. Once you think he has exceeded his limits he extends them a little more like scoring a perfect score of a 100 in the 2013 X-Games. Shaun is headed in the half pipe competition alongside American Danny Davis and Taku Hiraoka of Japan.
