The school cafeteria at Simonds High School has been around for years. Throughout these years, they have had many changes in ingredient regulations, changes in management, healthy food restrictions, and prices. The students of Simonds High continue to spend hundreds of dollars every year at the cafeteria.

Student are un-satisfied by the healthy and nutritious options compared to the previous menu. Besides the poor quality of food, they are also upset about the way the food is kept and prepared. Maybe people have experienced frozen vegetables in their wraps, mold on the meat in their sandwiches, and even sour milk.

Over my seven years of buying from a school cafeteria, I, along with several other people have noticed and become appalled at the ever rising prices for food. The people purchasing these items do not have a steady income nine time out of ten.

We all understand that the prices of everything are going up, have been, and probably will continue to for some time; but the fact is, these are students. Students do not make and annual salary that can cover the coasts of the food in today’s cafeteria and students are looking at alternatives for cheaper and better quality food.
