Hunger Games fans await excitedly for the third movie, Mockingjay, to hit theaters November 21 2014. After leaving in wonder after seeing Katniss dodge a fatal ending in the 75th annual hunger games, which also marked the quarter quell in the last movie Catching Fire, the audience was left with a cliff hanger which will all make sense when the next movie is released.

For fans who have read the book series by Suzanne Collins, the ending is not a mystery but they are still very excited to see how it will look on the big screen. Even though there are only three books, there will be four movies; the last being split in two parts. Mockingjay part II will be released November 20 2015.

Filming for part I started in September 2013 and part II started shooting immediately after. Written by Danny Strong and directed by Francis Lawrence, Mockingjay part I is atop of Fandango’s list of most anticipated films of 2014. Stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hucherson and Liam Hemsworth continue to bring their characters to life in a way that leaves fans wanting more.

New characters along with a new hidden district will come along with a new feel. There will defiantly be lots of suspense with Katniss symbolizing a revolution in Panem. Now that the district she grew up in was destroyed, she must fight for what she believes in, risking everything to save her country along with Peetah who has been kidnapped by the Capitol.

The two final films will keep the audience on the edge of their seats with fear and wonder. Readers already know the satisfying ending, but must brace themselves for the tragic moments it takes for Katniss to get there. The new Hunger Games movie is certainly one that will be thrilling and fans cannot wait until it hits theaters in November.                                      -Samantha Hastings
